Cotterman Steel Fixed Ladders
Standard Ladders (Series F / Series M)
Core Function: Engineered for secure, everyday vertical building or platform access where an upper-level step-off landing area is already safely protected.Ā
Welded Reliability: Series F models arrive as robust, fully welded one-piece assemblies, allowing contractors to unpack and mount them immediately without on-site rail assembly.Ā
Modular Versatility: Series M modular sections bolt together smoothly on-site, minimizing freight expenses and allowing single-worker installation in restricted layout environments.Ā
Walk-Thru Ladders
Core Function: Purpose-built for roof access or high platforms where workers must safely step forward off the ladder onto a flat landing surface.Ā
Extended Protection: Outfitted with robust, continuous handrail extensions that project a full 42 inches above the landing surface to provide a secure handhold during transitions.
Safe Walk-Through: Provides a code-compliant interior clearance between the top handrails so workers carrying tool belts can pass through smoothly without snagging.
Safety Cage Ladders
Core Function: Engineered to provide integrated, code-compliant fall protection enclosures for high-elevation climbs.
Flared Bottom Opening: Features a wide, flared bottom basket starting exactly 7 feet from the bottom of the ladder to allow comfortable, unobstructed worker entry.
Top/Forward Exit Configuration: Cotterman strictly focuses on Top / Forward Exit cages for hatchway or straight forward step-off landing access. The outer safety cage hoops and vertical stringers wrap securely around the climber, extending a full 42 inches above the elevated platform to protect the worker entirely until they step forward onto the roof structure or platform surface.

Note: Standard fixed and walk-thru models can be used up to 24 feet without cages; OSHA requires integrated safety cages or personal fall arrest systems on ladder heights exceeding 24 feet
