Cotterman Stainless Steel Fixed Ladders
Standard Ladders
Core Function: Engineered for secure, permanent vertical building, wall, or tank access where an upper-level landing surface is already safely enclosed.
Welded Durability: Series F structures arrive at the site as fully welded, one-piece assemblies, lowering contractor handling times and ensuring maximum structural rigidity out of the box.
Modular Freight Savings: Series M designs feature modular sub-assemblies (with no section extending past 7 feet) to lower shipping costs and simplify maneuvering through tight building layouts
Walk-Thru Ladders
Core Function: Optimized for flat roof or elevated platform access where climbers must step straight forward from the ladder onto an elevated landing surface.
Extended Protection: Outfitted with robust handrail extensions projecting a full 42 inches above the landing level to maintain a secure handhold during transitions.
Safe Entry Clearance: Offers wide, code-compliant interior spacing between the top handrails so workers outfitted with tool belts or safety harnesses can step through comfortably.
Safety Cage LaddersĀ
Core Function: Engineered to add integrated, high-strength fall protection enclosures around the climber for high-elevation vertical runs.
Flared Bottom Opening: Features a wide, flared bottom basket starting precisely 7 feet from the bottom of the ladder for easy, snag-free worker entry.
Top/Forward Exit Configuration: Cotterman focuses strictly on Top / Forward Exit cages for hatchway or straight forward step-off landing access. The stainless steel hoops and vertical stringers securely enclose the climbing space and extend 42 inches above the top platform to isolate the worker until they pass safely onto the roof structure or platform surface.

Note: While standard ladders can be mounted up to 24 feet without cages, OSHA mandates an integrated safety cage or personal fall arrest system for heights exceeding 24 feet.
